Life as I see it
I see in pictures.
Because my first experience taking photos was in a high school photography class, it seems I've been taking pictures all my life. After the births of my two children, and a desire to capture their lives in print, my hobby developed into a passion. When people began to hire me to photograph their children, parties, fundraisers, and public events, it became clear to me that photography was much more than a vocation, and the work I enjoyed most was what I was not being commissioned to do.
Photography is my peace.
I am constantly composing photographs - I cannot simply "turn it off"! Capturing poignant moments in photographs, amidst the chaotic, unstable world we live in, is my calm. The very essence of who I am is revealed in the chapters of my life's photo album. Taking pictures for me is like breathing - impossible to live without, difficult to articulate why. Ultimately, my hope is that viewers of my photographs feel my peace!
